License and Publishing Rights
- GetFast assures the protection of the confidentiality of your ideas, manuscript, and files. These materials will not be disclosed or distributed to third parties unless requested by the Client.
- GetFast employs only licensed and royalty-free images and fonts in its projects. Should the Client desire images from stock photo sources not typically used by GetFast, additional charges may apply.
- The Client is expected to adhere to the terms of any license agreement for images that GetFast acquires on the Client’s behalf from third-party image providers for book cover design.
- By purchasing from GetFast, the CLIENT acquires a STANDARD license, which permits:
- Unlimited e-book sales and promotion.
- Use of the print cover for selling up to 500,000 physical book copies.
- For distributions exceeding 500,000 copies, the Client is required to obtain an additional license for each stock photo playing a significant role in the cover design.
- Should the Client wish to utilize the cover design for purposes beyond ebook and paperback covers (e.g., printing on merchandise), it is the Client’s responsibility to secure an Extended License.
- The acquisition of an Extended License is also necessary for using the logo on merchandise.
- While the images employed in the Client’s cover are royalty-free, copyright ownership of these photographs remains with the photographer.
- Misuse of the cover design outside the bounds of the standard license, resulting in a breach of contract, falls under CLIENT’S LIABILITY.
- The Client bears sole responsibility for the copyright, trademark validity, and ownership of materials provided for the project.
- In case of a dispute over intellectual property involving materials supplied by the Client, the Client will assume all legal and financial responsibilities.
- The Client agrees to indemnify and defend GetFast and its employees from any copyright and permission infringement claims resulting from the Client’s materials.
Book Cover Design Services
- GetFast requires pre-payment for all design services, offering a 100% refund for clients dissatisfied with the result, provided no approval of the design has been made.
- The book cover design fee covers:
- E-book or/and Back and spine design.
- Source file – a flattened PSD file with separate editable text.
- Unlimited revisions before project completion.
- 1 month of post-completion revisions.
- 3D mockup.
- Documentation of image and font licenses used.
- The Сlient will receive the first design concept within 36 hours in business days from the moment the brief is filled out.
- The time for making design revisions is 36 hours in business days.
- The illustrated book cover design fee includes:
- Hand-drawn digital artwork in .pdf and .jpg formats.
- Source file.
- Licensed fonts.
- Initial sketch delivery within 5-7 days.
- Complimentary 3D book model.
- Logo design services provide:
- Unlimited revisions.
- Source file (standard and premium packages).
- Transparent logo.
- Branding guidelines (premium package).
- 3D mockup.
- Revisions requested one month post-project completion will incur additional fees.
- GetFast does not employ AI for book cover design without the author’s consent, ensuring the use of licensed images and providing license details or asset links upon request.
Payment
- GetFast utilizes Stripe and PayPal for secure payment processing, enabling debit/credit card payments.
- A full refund is available if the Client is dissatisfied with the result, barring design approval by the Client.
- Requests not included in the initial brief may incur additional charges. Clients are urged to verify the accuracy of texts for design use.
- Changes to the cover concept or additional image requests after project commencement may result in extra charges.
- Complex book covers requiring extensive Photoshop work may also lead to additional charges, discussed in advance.
Ownership Rights
- Full payment transfers the standard license for the book cover to the Client.
- GetFast retains copyright and ownership of all design drafts and materials.
- GetFast reserves the right to showcase the Client’s final book cover design, name, and book title in its portfolio and marketing materials.
Client Responsibilities
- Clients must confirm the licensing rights of files provided for the project to avoid copyright issues.
- Responsibility for copyright infringement from Client-provided files lies solely with the Client.
- GetFast may suggest alternatives if the Client lacks necessary rights to files intended for project use.
- Clients wishing to incorporate AI-generated images must ensure commercial licensing, with GetFast not liable for potential copyright issues.
- GetFast does not alter other designers’ work except for specific tasks agreed upon with the Client.
- Clients must secure permission from original designers for series consistency if GetFast is to continue a series’ design work.
Complete Agreement
- This document constitutes the full agreement between all parties, excluding any oral or written promises or conditions outside this agreement.
- Engagement with GetFast implies acceptance of these terms and conditions, as detailed on our website.
- Any amendment to this agreement is valid only if confirmed in writing and signed by all parties.
- The invalidity or unenforceability of any agreement provision does not affect the validity of remaining provisions.
